Register via technical file request

Receive a technical file request from your customer and use it to register or log in to the ProductIP platform. This allows you to access the platform, attend events and trainings, create and share technical files with your customers.

If you already have an account, you can log in directly into the ProductIP platform.


Feature access
This feature is available to all ProductIP users and all plans.


Before you begin
You need access to the email address where the technical file request was sent to.

Steps

  1. Open the "Request for technical file" email sent by your customer from the ProductIP platform.
  2. If you already have an account, click the link to log in.
    If you do not have an account yet, click the link in the email to register. 
    Do not reply to noreply@producip.com.
  3. Enter the details to complete the registration. Fields marked with * are mandatory. 
  4. Your email address is your username and is pre-filled. Make sure it matches the email address where you received the File Request.
  5. Accept the general conditions and privacy statement.
  6. Click Register.
  7. You will see a Confirmation message on the screen.
  8. Check your inbox (or spam folder) for a verification email containing a link to activate your account.
  9. Click the link in the verification email to validate your account. 
  10. You will see the Welcome page on the screen. Click Click here to continue.
  11. Log in to the ProductIP platform.
  12. Go to Requests > Technical file requests. Here you can find and proceed with the requests sent by your customer.


Tips and best practices

  • Always use the same email address that received the technical file request.
  • Bookmark the ProductIP login page for quick access.


Troubleshooting

  • Cannot see technical file requests under the Requests tab?
    The technical file request may not have been sent directly to your email address.

Possible solutions:

  • Ask your customer if the file request has been sent
  • Ask your customer to send the technical File Request directly to your email address
  • Ask the account administrator to invite the colleague who received the request to the same account (see Related articles)

FAQ

  • Why can’t I see any technical file requests in my account?
    This usually means the request was sent to a different email address. Ask your customer to resend it to your correct email address.


  • Can multiple users access the same technical file request?
    Yes, if they are invited to the same account by the account administrator, they can view and manage the same requests.
