You can update your password at any time to keep your ProductIP user account secure. This is useful if you suspect unauthorised access, forgot your current password, or want to follow your company’s password policy. Regular password updates are a simple way to protect sensitive compliance data.
Feature access
All ProductIP users can change their own password.
The feature is available for all plans.
Before you begin
Make sure you know your current password unless you're using the "Forgot password?" option.
The password must have at least 12 characters, an uppercase and lowercase character and a digit.

Steps
- Go to Settings (the wrench icon) in the top-right corner.
- Select My Profile from the dropdown menu.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Click the Change password button.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password and confirm it.
- Click Save.
You’ll receive a confirmation message and be asked to log in again.
Tips and best practices
- Use a unique password that you don’t use elsewhere.
- Consider using a password manager. Avoid common words, names, or predictable patterns.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t remember your current password?
Click “Request a new password” on the login screen to request a reset link.
- Didn’t receive the email?
Check your spam or junk folder.

FAQ
- Can I reuse an old password?
No. For security reasons, previously used passwords cannot be reused.
- Will changing my password log me out of other sessions?
Yes, all active sessions will be logged out automatically after a password change.
