The administrator of a company account holds an important role in ProductIP. The administrator manages key company settings, adds and removes users, and defines how your company account is organised. Because of these permissions, the administrator role can only be changed by ProductIP Support (Specialists).
Feature access
Only ProductIP Support can change the administrator role. There can be one administrator per company account.
Before you begin
- Make sure you know the name and email address of the new administrator.
- Have your company account name ready.
- The request must be sent from the current administrator’s registered email address whenever possible.
Video instructions
A short step-by-step guide will follow soon!
Steps
1. Ask the current administrator to contact ProductIP Support before leaving the administrator role.
2. They should email helpdesk@productip.com from their registered administrator email address.
3. Include the following information in the message:
- Name and email address of the new administrator
- Company account name
4. Our support specialists will update the company account administrator accordingly.
5. If the administrator has left the company and the account is no longer accessible, email helpdesk@productip.com for assistance.
6. We will verify your company details and help restore access.
When a new company account is created, the user who creates it automatically becomes the administrator. This person can later ask us to transfer the role to another colleague if needed.
