The new Detergents Regulation (EU) 2026/405 has a broader scope and stricter chemical requirements than its predecessor 648/2004/EC.
It also introduces the digital product passport (DPP) for detergents. And non-EU manufacturers must appoint an EU Authorised Representative (AR).
